Keogh makes his Mark as Cavaliers are run off the road

Mark Keogh was the hero of a fiercely-fought affair as Caversham C came away 4-1 winners at Basingstoke Cavaliers in the Single Court League yesterday.

The multi-talented Irishman was playing his first matches of the year in the GC code but still managed to win all his games.

First he partnered Liz Walker to a tense victory in the doubles which was only settled at the 14th hoop.

Then Mark — a proficient competitor in a range of sports — pulled off some outstanding jump shots to help clinch two singles wins.

With the rubber settled, Liz was unfortunate to lose her final singles at the 15th hoop.

Our picture shows Mark looking on approvingly as Liz hoops her blue ball in the doubles.
