There was a promising turn-out of potential new members at the club’s Open Day on Saturday.
Of the interested ‘walk-ups’ two ladies and a gent returned to Albert Road within three days for a taster session.
With a small number of vacant places in the membership list available, club recruitment officer Judy Reddy is confident that she will make some new singings.
But Judy said: “We must market ourselves earlier next year, regardless of the waiting list.
“In the meantime all our ‘potentials’ would like another taster.”
Our picture shows chairman Charles Briggs with some new ladies trying their hand at croquet.
Don’t forget the next big social occasion will be the club’s 30th birthday party on June 24th.
