Watch out for an important mail delivery

Members are urged to keep an eye on their inboxes during the next few weeks for invitations to play in club competitions and national events and to represent the club in the Southern Croquet Federation Leagues.

Entry fees for club competitions will be the same as in 2022… a crisp fiver.

For national competitions — the All-England Championships at both AC and GC and the Charity One-Ball — it will cost £8.

If you would like to play in the leagues, then as well as returning your entry forms to it would be advisable to copy in Jane Probitts ( for GC and Charles Briggs ( for AC.

Caversham’s round of the One-Ball Charity tournament will be played on Saturday, April 15th. So far we have nine entries — an even number would be better.

No date has been set yet for our heat of the All-England handicap events; watch our for announcements. The finals are at Ryde on September 9-10 for GC and Chester on September 16-17 for AC.

So watch your electronic mail. The invitation won’t come via Postman Pat!
