Caversham’s T&F group players had a convincing 7-2 win in their doubles friendly at Harwell yesterday.
The result was ‘revenge’ for defeat in a previous friendly between the two clubs a month ago.
The pairing of Peter and Sandra Clee (above) won all three of their games and there were two wins apiece for both Carol Hill and John Walker and Rosemary Noel-Clarke and Liz Walker.
“Harwell made us very welcome,” said Liz, “but their lawns were as dry as ours.”
