Carol Jamieson won all three of her games as Caversham B beat Dogmersfield 3-2 in the GC One Court Clubs Advantage League this afternoon.
That victory left her team within touching distance of the League title — Basingstoke Roundheads would have to score thumping wins in the rest of their matches to stop the trophy coming back to Albert Road.
Carol (left) made sure of a home win by thrashing her final opponent 7-0 (see scorecard below).
Her team-mate Anne Small was not so lucky. Her last opponent Jon Hearson managed something seldom seen at Albert Road, defying the dreaded slope by running hoops 11 and 12 with the same stroke.
That left both Anne’s balls offside for hoop 13, where Hearson was able to clinch the win.
