Caversham players were involved in a lockdown drama during a High Bisquers AC tournament at Blewbury on Sunday.
Albert Road charity one-ball champ Gareth Hobby was about to face Carol Jamieson in his crucial final match of the competition when he became locked in the loo.
Gareth was stuck in the west Berkshire club’s smallest room for 15 minutes before his team-mate Charles Briggs (left) rescued him by forcibly releasing the lock.

The nasty experience clearly affected him and Gareth lost the decider 8-7, a result which gave Carol the title with six wins from her seven games.
Gareth finished in fourth place with four wins in the two-day tournament — which was restricted to players with handicaps of 14 and above — while Charles managed two wins.
All three Caversham players judged the event, staged on excellent courts in largely sunny weather, an excellent way to gain competitive AC experience.
