Plans are well in hand for Caversham’s contribution to croquet’s National Club Open Day on Saturday, May 14th.
A hastily-arranged sub-committee is putting up the banners and bunting for what should be a bumper event between 1pm and 4pm.
Apologies to members for springing it on you at short notice but the CA’s late announcement of a national croquet week between May 14th and 22nd rather caught us on the hop!
But, given fair weather, we should make a successful return to our old spring slot for an Open Day for the first time since the pandemic.
Judy Reddy, who is heading up the organising committee, said: “For three hours the club will be open to members’ families and friends as well as potential new players.
“It will be a great chance for our new members and prospective new members to meet everyone.”
